Anyone entering the family-run 5-star Ortner’s Resort in Bad Füssing, Bavaria’s largest hotel thermal resort, is immediately impressed: six dark-blue pools with a total of 400 m² of water area are filled every day with 100,000 litres of fresh healing water from the hotel’s own thermal spring. Golden columns, magnificent chandeliers and reclaimed wood create a glamorous yet warm atmosphere – almost like stepping into a fairytale.
Even more luxury awaits in the “Source of Health” and the “Source of Beauty and Balance”, with regional signature treatments. Bavaria’s largest hotel thermal resort sets standards. In 2023, the family-run 5-star Ortner’s Resort in Bad Füssing was named “Best Hotel (Resort) Spa” at the European Health & Spa Award. Such success is no coincidence: at the heart of its wellness and culinary highlights is the powerful in-house thermal water, which ensures fast and lasting relaxation.
The water is wonderfully warm, between 32 and 37 degrees. Added to this are twelve hours of sauna enjoyment and spa treatments ranging from Mahana massage to regional signature treatments – including options in the medical area.
Guests can also be very active here: Nordic walking, free e-bikes along the Inn and Danube, and excellent golf opportunities. Golf fans will enjoy not only Thermengolf Bad Füssing but also golf resort Bad Griesbach, just 15 minutes away by car, with 10 courses over 467 hectares. Since 2024, all Ortner’s guests have received 20% off day green fees on all 18-hole championship courses and can book tee times vithe hotel. A cooperation with Celtic Golf Course in Schärding, just across the border in Upper Austria, will soon add another option.
