Hotel Klosterbräu
★★★★★
5-star wellness hotel in historic monastery style with a 3,500 m² wellness area in the centre of Seefeld
Hotel description
Authentic tradition & relaxed lifestyle / Seefeld in Tyrol
Hotel Klosterbräu, a former Augustinian monastery dating back to 1516 and built by Emperor Maximilian I, is today one of the most legendary family-run hotels in the Tyrolean Alps. It is a truly unique luxury hotel: charming, family-led and full of youthful ease, now run by the same family in the 6th generation.
The new lifestyle wellness rooms and suites are architectural highlights with a strong feel-good character – from private saunas and romantic candle fireplaces to elegant wooden vaults and even an ever-flowing beer fountain. They are complemented by 25 new nature rooms and suites inspired by the hotel’s THINK.YOUNIQUE philosophy.
Their equipment, location and furnishings leave a lasting impression: moon-felled wood, organic clay walls, mountain and forest views, panoramic windows and natural temperature regulation already promise an exceptional level of relaxation.
The wellness area reveals a truly unique atmosphere, shaped by historic walls, countless candles and innovative lighting design. Five water areas, seven saunas including the new textile family sauna, and many lovingly designed retreats invite guests to linger. Must-feel highlights include the world-unique, fully hand-carved “Heiss-Zeit” sauna and the 37 °C rooftop pool with unforgettable panoramic views.
Guests find balance through movement in nature with more than 50 professionally guided activities – or indoors in the stylish active fitness room and the new yoga room. Also new is the activity and ski cellar, where every guest can find their favourite sports equipment.
Dine Around: in nine in-house dinner locations, food lovers find their happiness – super-romantic at the heart-shaped table in the 500-year-young monastery cellar, trendy in the hotel’s own steakhouse with brewery and a large vegetarian-vegan selection, relaxed and Mediterranean in the monastery courtyard or traditionally Tyrolean in the Ritter Oswald Stube. The wines mature by candlelight in the monastery cellar and the easy-drinking beer is lovingly brewed in-house. Breakfast eggs come from the hotel’s own wandering hens, which live at the vegetarian farm Sigi’s Saufhaufen with its integrated petting zoo right next to the hotel.
True relaxation awaits in the 150,000 m² private nature park adjoining the hotel to the south. At its heart lies the Garden of Eden, offering generous lounging and relaxation areas and the best views of the surrounding mountains. A few steps away from the pool area, guests find energy spots and sun benches on the Pfarrhügel to perfect their holiday feeling.
Connection and passion arise from the consciously lived YOUNIQUE® philosophy – today and hopefully for generations to come. Klosterbräu is truly unique: guests love the hotel for its unmistakable charm, first-class service and at the same time wonderfully down-to-earth Tyrolean hospitality.
